Less Known Fic...

A story about growing up, finding friendships that last a lifetime, and finding yourself up loves creek without a paddle.

No: 15 Chapters posted

Orphaned at the age 11 , Bella Swan was raised by her older brother Emmett. Being left alone most of time she had to learn to become a strong, independent, intelligent young woman. Maintaining a 4.0 GPA is her only hope to leave this dismal little town.
Edward Cullen is a pretentious, rich, man whoring, asshole. All the girl's want to be with him and all the guy's want to be him. Daddy Cullen's money has always gotten Edward anything and everything he's ever wanted, but at what price? His father has his whole future mapped out. Edward will  go to law school and make the Cullen family name even more prestigious . All Edward wants is to get out of his oppressive life and this dismal little town.
Bella Swan hates Edward Cullen! This is a fact that has been true since they have been little kids. They have one thing in common, the same best friend. Jasper Whitlock ,is always there to try diffuse the heated battles that go on between his two best friends.....
Jasper grabs Bella around the waist to hold her back. For such a small girl, holding her back from hurting Edward was hard work. Jasper was almost tempted to let her go just to see if she could bring Edward down. Something told Jasper Bella could give him the beat down of his life.

....but what lie's under all this hatred and hostility they share is raw UST. Oooo baby is the tension thick in this story, and so much fun to read.

Edward Cullen took that Strawberry ice pop from her, looked at Bella's body like it was a buffet he was dying to eat and then he took the ice cold, melting goodness and ran the tip of it from her ankle to the top of her thigh. It was so cold and felt so good on her heated skin. But then all she could do was watch in wonder as Edward, the boy she hated, the boy she wanted to mount and make her come until she saw stars, leaned down, his tongue coming out from behind those soft full lips and he licked the trail left behind by the sugary treat. From ankle to thigh........
The witty, snarky banter these to share is enough to make you laugh out loud. For a while they are clueless to the underlying feeling they share, but slowly they start to figure out there may be more between them then raw unadulterated hate. But, this doesn't fit into Daddy Cullen's plan for Edward. Believing Bella will only serve to derail all the hard work he's put into his son and protege . He decides to take matters into his own hand's. Daddy Cullen sets a plan in motion to take care of the problem once and for all. He invites a old family friend's daughter "Kat"over for the summer. Knowing that Edward and Kat share a past he hopes Edwards attentions will be on her instead of Bella. Angered because of his fathers manipulative ways Edward informs Kat that there can't be anything between them because he has a girlfriend. Kat always gets what she wants, and she wants Edward Cullen. No girlfriend will deter her. With Kat's entrance into the story what trouble awaits the already shaky relationship between Bella and Edward?

One thing was sure.. this was shaping up to be an interesting game. And Kat was nothing if not an enthusiastic player.

LondonGoth has promised us the full gamut with this story. Love, hate, humor ,angst . So far she has delivered just that. This "Less Known Fic" is sitting at a disheartening 63 reviews. This story is so well written, and I became engrossed into it immediately. It deserves so many more reviews. So settle down and read LondonGoth's "Up Love's Creek", it really is worth your time. Please leave her some love and  reviews.

*Thanks so much  Dominatall for writing this up this week!!!*

Chapter 5  of Sins of My Mother by yesmrcullen

"Hey, Rose," I called out.

"Bella?" She replied as she walked out of the bathroom, wrapping a towel around her torso.

"I'm in deep shit." My voice slightly faltered, and I slumped onto the bed, throwing my arm over my face.

"Jesus, are you all right?" Rose rushed to my side. "What happened? Is it Charlie?"

I shook my head and took a couple of deep breaths.

"Edward," I breathed out and met her eyes, "I just met Edward."

The realization dawned on her flawless face, and she lit up like Christmas morning, grinning from ear to ear.

"You are so screwed."

"I am so screwed," I repeated.

Chapter 11 of You Belong to Me  by TwidictedByrd

BPOV

“Bella Swan, It’s been a long time. I don’t know if you remember me or not, I’m Jacob Black.”

“We used to play together when we were 5. We were in Jr. High together for a little while, too,” he added.

As I look this handsome stanger in the eyes, I suddenly remember a little long haired boy, playing in the mud. He had such an infectious smile, you couldn’t help but be in a happy mood. Any time we were playing together as children and I had one of my many accidents, all it took was the sweet look in his kind, dark eyes and that smile and I instantly forgot about the new injury to my overly clumsy body.

“Jacob, yeah, I remember. How have you been?” He still had the nicest smile I’d ever seen. Jacob’s cute dimples don’t hurt much either.

“I’ve been good. So, my dad tells me you’re going to be with us for the rest of the school year. If you want, I can show you around and introduce you to people.”

“Thanks, Jacob. That would be great.” It was nice to at least know someone here. Maybe things were finally starting to look up for me. I still missed him with every breath I took, but maybe Jacob would help distract me from my self-imposed torture.

I started looking around the student area and noticed that there were people walking by us, pointing and smiling.

“Uh, Jacob... Why are they looking at me like that?” I always hated to be the center of attention and it was like there was a spot light straight on me shouting “Look at me! Look at me!” I wanted to crawl in a cold dark hole and be by myself.

This is a one shot that isn't posted yet, but will be tomorrow

What Hurts the Most by Layne Faire

Rain streams down the windows, a misty haze rising off the hot pavement, filling the air with the summer scent of wet concrete. Sitting on the window seat, I watch the rivulets move down the panes, racing to an unknown end, searching for a new path to continue their arduous descent. Heaving a sigh, I lean my forehead against the cool glass, the reflection of the tears rolling down my cheeks lost in the endless dark that settles over the late summer evening. It’s been six months since you left, six months of sheer fucking hell. I thought I would have run out of tears by now, but the simplest things still bring on a fresh onslaught.

A part of me always worried you wouldn’t stay, no matter how much I loved you, how much I gave of myself. So, I locked it away, a secret that I take out and examine daily, wondering what if. What if I’d told you the truth? What if I’d have fought harder, loved more? Would any of it had made a difference? Would you have gone anyway? I’d fooled myself into believing that if I didn’t lay it all out, I’d preserve a piece of my heart. Instead, I’ve been left with endless questions and futile musings.

Jasper's POV for Chapter 1

“What difference would it have made?”  Ben shook his head. “Let’s face it, you aren’t exactly Johnny On-the- spot when it comes to going after someone you’re interested in.” He leaned against the side of his burgundy Town & Country before continuing, “Jazz, you had what, two relationships the whole time we were in college? And really, Irina shouldn’t even count. You guys were nothing more than friends with benefits, because you were both too damn insecure to actually date anyone else. Luckily, anyone you do decide to become involved with can take advantage of the vast knowledge you gained from the university’s extensive erotica collection and Irina’s willingness to play along while you experimented. Hell, that wasn’t a relationship, more like a research project.”

“Damn it Ben, that’s not fair. Let’s be honest, opportunity wasn’t exactly beating a path to my door. Hell, it didn’t even knock very often. I’m just not the guy women are looking for.” I gestured at myself, pointing out my obvious faults. “I’m a computer geek, right down to being color-blind and myopic.”

“Jazz, at the risk of having my own sexuality called into question, when the hell was the last time you looked, and I mean really looked, in a mirror?” When I tried to wave him off, he persisted. “No, I’m serious. Dude, you’re a good-looking guy. Add in your intelligence and bank account and really, there are few negatives.” He chuckled then, before continuing, “Even my own wife thinks you're attractive, and has unabashedly commented on it right in front of me."

Chapter 3 of Something in Red by busymommy

“Married? Are you sure?” Bella stammered over her question, the box still laying on his chest, demanding an answer. Her fingers shook as she picked it up, hesitating to open it, knowing the symbolic weight of whatever was inside.

“Bella, sweetheart, I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life. It’s you, it’s always been you. You bring completion to my life.” He kissed her again, taking her free hand in his and lacing their fingers together. “I don’t want to ever risk losing you again.”

“But what about Alice? And London?” Her fingers tightened on the box, already knowing she couldn’t let go, but needing answers first.

“Alice means nothing to me, love. She’s just someone I work with. Would she like it to be more? I’m sure she would, but it’s never going to happen. I lost my heart the minute I met you. I just fought it tooth and nail, until I finally realized it was a fruitless effort.”

Uncurling her fingers from where they clenched the box, he flicked open the lid, revealing a flawless full carat marquis cut diamond, set in platinum and surrounded by  intricate swirled hearts dotted with smaller round cut diamonds. In the soft glow of moonlight, the ring sparkled with antique charm. Removing the ring, he held it in his fingers and sat up, lifting her onto his lap.

Made me Cry Friday

His wife's journal. He shouldn't read it, but he can't help himself.

MsEm

This is a first for me. I've reviewed "Made me laugh" and "Can't walk away" over and over again, but never "Made me cry". I steer clear of the angst. I'm a total fluff and HEA girl. I mean really don't we have enough angst in our everyday real life that we don't  need to taint our little Fanfic fantasy bubble. The romance, the perfect man, how life is suppose to be. That's why I read it. For a few minutes while I'm reading everything is perfect. Last week my curiosity got the better of me, there were a couple of stories that looked really good, but they were angst.I decided to pull up the big girl panties and dive in head first. Although this story tore my heart open from the first paragraph I loved reading it.

The story starts out with Edward finding his wife's journal. For the last couple of years the marriage has been slowly deteriorating. Edward has always blamed Bella. She was  pulling away from him and nagging him. Edward decides to read the journal curious to find out whats happening from Bella's prospective. He was not prepared for what he found. Bella was seeing a therapist and has been prescribed antidepressant's. She is depressed and lonely and lost. He finds out that she knows about his affair. She has become trapped in hopeless and despair. She is in a downward spiral and even has had thoughts of suicide. He realizes that he has been selfish and neglectful of his marriage. He realizes he should have paid more attention. Maybe he could have prevented things getting so bad.

Out of irrational anger, he starts thinking, and almost believing, that she is solely the one to blame for his affair and her depression. It's her fault. She stopped talking to him, touching him, making an effort. In the back of his mind, he knew it wasn't just her. He knew he didn't make half the effort she had when they started drifting apart.

This story definitely deserves a tissue warning. The story is told from a third person's prospective, so it switches back and forth between Edward and Bella. I got so engrossed in this fic that I starting feeling their agony and deep hurt and pain these two are causing each other.

Looking at her closely, he takes in how fragile she looks and just how much his past actions have taken a toll on her. Even though she's not looking at him, he can still see every ounce of the heartache and sadness her eyes hold in them.
Gently, he brings her into him by wrapping his arms around her shoulders, whispering near her ear, "I'm sorry… I'm so sorry."
I cried several times through this story, wondering if it was possible that they can ever find their way back to each other. You can feel the deep love they have for each other, but after everything that has happening is it possible to repair something so....broken? This story is a WIP ,so that question still remains to be seen.
Find a quiet spot and grab some tissues and read "The Journal".
Remember to leave MsEm some love and reviews.
