Slashtastic Thursday with Layne Faire

Hey darlins, I managed to escape for another week to bring you some more tidbits of slashy goodness that you don’t want to miss.  I’ve got another great little one shot, along with a full length story that should not be missed in the fandom. This week’s one shot was an entry for the Spanking the Monkey contest and winner of the Judge’s Choice Best Slash award (and my personal favorite, too!).

Edward, Jasper, Emmett and Mike all play football for Forks High. After winning the last game of the season, the boys are running on a victory high. Pulling out beer and booze, they turn receiving a shot into a dare competition. Edward is dared to flash the care behind him, and in retaliation, he dares Jasper to rub one out right on the bus. Since he made the dare, he’s the one forced to watch to make sure Jasper doesn’t cheat. Fair enough, but why is he getting turned on watching? And why is Jasper staring at him like that? Fun bit of wanking fluff, check it out!  She plans to continue it this fall and I can’t wait!

Jasper and Edward become the best of friends through similar tragic events in their lives. Edward, the geeky messed up kid, soon starts getting some lessons from bad boy, Jasper on how to fit in...What will E end up teaching him? E/J Slash AH Mature

I finally caved into the pressure and began reading Lessons Learned EARLY Monday morning (like 1:00am early).  By the end of the third chapter, I was kicking myself for not having read it sooner.

In Lessons Learned we meet two damaged boys, trying to make their way in a world that has offered them little more than hurt for their formative years. Edward is the adopted son of Carlisle and Esme. Physically, emotionally, and sexually abused by his birth parent, he is a closed off eight year old when they find him and adopt him, hoping to heal the pain of the life he’d lived before he came to them. Jasper is the unwanted child of a drug and alcohol addicted single mother, and has little contact with his physically abusive ex-military father. They become friends by accident and, over time, deeper feelings evolve between them.

Jasper all but lives with the Cullens, taken under their care due to the indifference and neglect of his mother. Finally, she decides to leave town again, her MO when her life starts to unravel. She tries to force Jasper to leave with her, heaping abuse on his head, until Esme intervenes, resorting to a little violence of her own (Esme and Carlisle rock socks in this fic!), and Jasper’s mom gladly leaves him behind with the Edward and his family.

The boys come out to their close friends at school and Edward’s parents, but still opt to keep their relationship hidden from the general public, until someone outs them via a bulk text message to the entire student body. Forced out of the proverbial closet, the boys are put on their guard, knowing it is lonely a matter of time before it goes further. Then, after a street fight with the drug dealer that outed them, Jasper is returned to his father.  The stress of losing Jasper pushes Edward over the mental cliff he’s been teetering on, ands up committed to a mental institution.

I haven’t finished this one yet, but I am plowing through – having already read 32 chapters.  (Misty, I promise, the reviews are coming!)  The story completed in June and the sequel is already being posted, too. I can’t wait to finish Lessons Learned and move on to The Thing About Falling, the story of Brady, one of the minor characters from Lessons Learned.

Less Known Fic Wednesdays.

Edward is the proprietor of Bran Castle in the heart of Romania. He carries a heavy burden which torments him. When Bella crosses paths with him will she be the one to help shoulder his grief, or will her presence only make it worse? M for lang/lemons.

I found this wonderful piece on Facebook of all places.  Being I am a lover and writer of fanfiction I belong to many groups.  Someone posted the link to this and I fell in love with it.  I am one that goes against Bella and Edward falling madly in love in the first few sentences.  I would rather the search for true love be a long winding road.  This story is not about the Cullens nor is it about what needs to be done or not done.  It is about Bella finding out the truth and after all that has happened her family.   There are only 3 other Cullens mentioned which are Jasper, Alice and Emmett.  Even in their minor roll they still bring themselves to the characters they are in the book.  

"Yeah! The pixie's harmless," Emmett finally piped up.
Rolling my head his direction, all I could say was "Really? Are YOU high Emmett?"
His face scrunched up in confusion.
Jasper snorted. "Oh yeah, one more thing," he stared at me pointedly.
I started snickering at the image in his head of what he was about to do. "Say it. Out loud so Emmett doesn't feel left out again."
Emmett grinned happily, pleased he was being included.
Raising his voice to a high pitch, Jasper said "She's absolutely perfect!" as he clasped his hands together, fluttering his eyelashes as his head tilted to the side.
Emmett and I guffawed at Jasper's imitation of his wife because he was spot on. The laughter felt good ripping from my chest as it was carried away into the night.

This short but erotic piece is worth taking the time to read.  It is only 18 chapters and I wish it had more.  It deserves more reviews than 300 and something it has received.  I hope you sit down take a few minutes and enjoy what texasbella has in store for her readers.

Her quiet is soon interrupted when Edward, Alice’s brother and Bella’s long-time crush, approaches. Edward, who also is seeking refuge from the wedding like Bella, has also had a secret crush on Bella. As they share a bottle of wine, Bella and Edward reveal their feelings and love for one another.

It is quite evident why duhitsangie was the winner of “Best Use of Pic” in the Showers to Flowers contest with her entry, “Fantasy”.  Her story fits the image inspiration beautifully. If weddings turned out like this more often, I bet more people would attend them more often.  I know I would!

Working long and exhausting hours as the Chief ER Resident at the University of Chicago Medical Center is beginning to takes its toll on Edward Cullen. His last relationship with his live-in girlfriend, Tanya, ended months before he even knew that it was over and was confirmed via text. According to his friend, Emmett, he needs to get out, experience life, and get laid… repeatedly. Emmett’s advice may be well intended, but Edward does not like random “hook ups” and yearns for an intimate connection with a woman.

One night while working, Emmett slips a piece a paper to Edward with a website address to a cybersex website in hopes that Edward will relieve some of his tension. Edward at first thinks the idea is ridiculous and refuse’s the idea immediately. After taking a hot shower, Edward still has a difficult time trying to relax. Reluctantly, Edward signs on to the website, creates an account, and looks through the options that are available. As he is browsing the site, a chat window pops up on his computer. Edward begins to chat with the user, “BellaNova”, and is in complete shock with how quickly the conversation turns into one hot, steamy, online encounter.

My eyebrows rose as I slid my boxers back on and sat down. She was still being incredibly forward, even after the fact, and that was amazingly hot.
Grneyeddoc1981: so did I. you're amazing. I'd say we could go for round two, but I have to be back to the hospital in six hours.
BellaNova: what a shame. I could go all night. What time do you get off?

In Los Angeles, Bella Swan does not consider herself lonely. She is not like her friends, Alice and Rosalie, who are outgoing and self-confident. As a college student, she is dedicated to her studies and content with how her life is going. However, one night out with the girls, Bella finds herself the next morning sporting a hang-over and apparently has masturbated to a computer screen. Bella is in complete shock at what happened the night before and tries to remember what happened.

People did that kind of thing all the time, right? Yea, if their name isn't Bella Swan. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before beginning to scroll up through the conversation. I gasped loudly as I reached the top and began to read. Not only did I initiate it, but…
BellaNova: yea… reeeeeeeeally horny tonight.
My head fell hard on the desk. This person must think I am a real pervert or something. I am absolutely never drinking again.
But once again, my eyes were drawn back to the screen. It was not me; there was no way it could have been me.
"I like scrubs?" I exclaimed loudly, slapping my hand over my mouth. And he kept talking to me? Well apparently, he had no problem with me being a pervert since he was one as well. Only perverted, lonely and/or ugly men went to those sites when they were desperate for a piece of ass. And knowing my luck, he was all of the above. And yet, was I much better? Not only had I evidently gone to this site last night, but talked to a complete stranger about how horny I was. And even instructed him on how to give himself a hand job! I lowered my head and ran my hand though my hair, feeling the flush spread to my cheeks at the thought.

Bella goes to class and attempts to distract herself from her thoughts about her late night encounter with Grneyeddoc1981. 15 minutes before she is supposed to be online, Bella attempts to talk herself out of meeting with her stranger but is unsuccessful. She log’s onto the site, notices that he is online, and nervously attempts to begin a conversation with Grneyeddoc1981.

Like the night before, the encounter between Bella and Edward turns into one hot, steamy, online encounter that leads into more than just one a one night thing. At first, they tried to label what they had as “exclusive internet lovers”. What they both don’t realize and even expect is that a relationship blooms between the two and they become more than “exclusive internet lovers”.

Written with alternating POV’s (Bella and Edward), “Late Night Encounters” is one addictive read! The connection between Bella and Edward is explosive. From their first interaction, you will find yourself hoping that things turns into more for the two. Like most long distance relationships, Bella and Edward encounter bumps along the way but they eventually work things out in the end.

This is a definite must read classic!
